Steps to complete this assignment:
Select Chapter 5 or 7 or 9 from Lee’s book as your case study. Read it carefully. You are doing a CASE STUDY.
Based upon your case study chapter selection, examine the case study through the lens of the CLOs of this course. Analyze how the case study reflects each of the CLOs. You should examine your case study through the lens of each CLO. You should synthesize the disparate views of those involved – historians, civilians, writers, soldiers.. You should address a significant contemporary issue of a global nature relevant to the course. You should draw conclusions from the case study to your major, emphasizing the importance of the relationship of war and culture for responsible citizenship at local and global levels. Finally you should use at least two – three sources in support of your ideas, documenting them correctly both internally and externally. Ten percent of the gradewill address writing conventions – grammar, organization and punctuation.
See the rubric for evaluation.
Include a 100 word abstract identifying your case study selection and the case study author’s thesis and main points. The abstract should be at the front of the paper, on a separate page. This page does not count as part of the 5-6 pages of your own analysis.
The following is the CLO’s that will need to be addressed for the paper:

Evaluate these wars regarding military and political concerns, values, methodologies and relationships to public life.

Evaluate perspectives, modes of inquiry and processes for decision making in history, literature, sociology, psychology and politics regarding war and culture.
Evaluate the threads of race, gender, religion, art and medicine and how war has effected them.
The major that this should connect with is Criminal Justice.
